The Project

Europe’s Cyber Resilience Act marks a pivotal moment for cybersecurity in Europe by improving the cyber security of everyday products and software used by millions of Europeans every day. With cyber threats increasing each year, the CRA defines the legislative framework of essential cybersecurity requirements that manufactures must meet when placing any product with digital elements on the European market. With modern companies operating in a global ecosystem, the impact of the CRA is likely to be felt across the world.

CYBERSTAND.eu aims to empower European stakeholders to engage in the development of standards and conformity in relation to the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

How?

In order to reach this goal, the work of CYBERSTAND will be based on the following activities:

  • Support EU experts in the contribution to standardisation efforts: CYBERSTAND.eu will select and onboard contributors to CRA standards through various cycles of Specific Service Procedures (SSPs), assigning a total of €1,500,000 to develop and work on harmonised standards
  • Contribute and reinforce European values, ethics and policy in cybersecurity: CYBERSTAND.eu will inform the future cybersecurity ecosystem about the CRA through promotional and educational activities such as workshops, guides and training.
  • Foster the development of harmonised standards to support the implementation of the CRA: CYBERSTAND.eu will fund experts to contribute to 10+ standardisation work items, showcasing 30+ use cases and supporting national and international dialogue on the CRA.
  • Deliver a series of events and publications: CYBERSTAND.eu will increase the European influence and leadership in international cybersecurity standardisation related to the CRA through stakeholder consultations, policy briefs and events, aiming at improving the general awareness of cybersecurity standards in Europe.
