Network interfaces and related products for small companies using open source
Vertical standards for security requirements
What does the work you will carry out for the CYBERSTAND SSP consist of?
The work will take place mostly around the network interfaces and router standards. The goal of the contribution is to provide feedback and suggestions (including updates to standards) that will make the resulting standards practical to use, especially for European small companies, and actually increase the cybersecurity level of products they apply to. The secondary goal is to make sure that the usage of open source components is correctly taken into account.
What is the expected result and impact of this activity?
The expected result is making new CRA-related standards more practical to use, especially for small companies. The aim is to make standards easier to understand and apply, and also take into account specific challenges of small companies.
Which aspects of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) standardisation are you focusing on?
Networking-related products, notably network interfaces (both physical and virtual) and routers. The work will cross this domain with proper use of wide stacks of open source software that is typical in network-facing products.
