As the European Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) moves closer to full implementation, manufacturers across Europe are shifting their focus from understanding the regulation to putting its requirements into practice. The question many organisations now face is not whether they need to comply, but how they can do so efficiently and effectively.
To help businesses navigate this transition, the CRACoWi project is inviting manufacturers, engineers, compliance professionals and SMEs to attend the next session of its CRAcademy webinar series, titled “From Pain Points to Market Readiness: How CRA Tools Simplify Compliance.”
The free online event will take place on 25 June 2026 at 11:00 AM CEST and will provide practical guidance on overcoming the challenges that often arise during CRA implementation.
Turning Regulatory Requirements into Practical Action
The Cyber Resilience Act introduces mandatory cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements placed on the European market. As these obligations gradually replace the cybersecurity provisions currently covered under the Radio Equipment Directive from December 2027, organisations are increasingly seeking practical ways to integrate compliance into their existing development and business processes. This webinar addresses exactly that need.
Drawing on real-world experiences, the session will explore the recurring issues that frequently delay manufacturers on their path to compliance. Participants will gain insight into common challenges such as incomplete interface inventories, gaps in cryptographic implementation, and documentation that cannot easily be verified during assessment processes.
The webinar will also demonstrate how emerging CRA tools can help organisations transform time-consuming and error-prone activities into structured, repeatable processes that support both compliance and product development.
Supporting Market Readiness
Designed to bridge the gap between regulatory expectations and engineering reality, the session aims to provide attendees with a clearer understanding of what practical CRA readiness looks like.
Participants will learn:
- Why security-by-design is central to the Cyber Resilience Act;
- How responsibilities are shared among manufacturers, consultants and notified bodies;
- Which common pain points lead to costly delays and why they occur;
- How specialised CRA tools can streamline compliance activities and reduce manual effort;
- Answers to their questions during a live Q&A session.
Who Should Attend?
The webinar is particularly relevant for:
- Manufacturers of connected and digital products;
- Engineers, system architects and product security teams;
- Product managers and compliance professionals responsible for translating requirements into implementation;
- Small and medium-sized enterprises preparing for CRA implementation and certification.
Meet the Speaker
The session will be presented by Katherine Leese from SevenShift.
Originally from New Zealand and now based in Cologne, Germany, Katherine brings a distinctive combination of technical expertise and practical experience to the field of cybersecurity. After retraining in her forties as an IT specialist for system integration, she has developed a strong understanding of the challenges organisations encounter when implementing cybersecurity requirements in real-world environments.
Through SevenShift’s involvement in the CRACoWi project, Katherine contributes to raising awareness of the Cyber Resilience Act and supporting the development of practical tools that help organisations achieve compliance. Her work focuses on making complex regulatory requirements more understandable, actionable and achievable for manufacturers and SMEs.
