The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) will introduce mandatory cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements placed on the EU market. For many SMEs, the challenge is not understanding that the CRA applies, but how to comply in practice, which standards to follow, and which tools, guidance, and funding opportunities are available to support compliance.
This workshop helps SMEs understand, prepare for, and comply with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance and tools and providing information about the ongoing standardisation process and ways to engage in open consultations, a series of workshops is organised throughout Europe.
Following a Standardisation Request from the European Commission in support of the implementation of the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), the European Standardization Organizations (ESOs) - ETSI and CEN-CENELEC - are actively developing harmonised standards in their relevant technical groups During the session, the rapporteurs of these standards in the ESOs technical groups will present some of the latest drafts under development and engage with the audience to discuss the ongoing work, answer questions, and gather feedback to refine the drafts.
Hosted at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, the event is organised by the EU-funded projects CYBERSTAND.eu and STAN4CRA.eu, the workshops bring together key EU-funded experts and projects working on the design of SME-friendly standards and CRA compliance tools.

De Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) introduceert verplichte cybersecurity-eisen voor producten met digitale elementen die op de Europese markt worden gebracht. Voor veel mkb-bedrijven ligt de uitdaging niet zozeer in het vaststellen of de CRA van toepassing is, maar vooral in de praktische uitvoering: hoe voldoe je aan de eisen, welke normen zijn relevant en welke hulpmiddelen, richtlijnen en financieringsmogelijkheden zijn beschikbaar om de naleving te ondersteunen?
Deze workshop helpt mkb-bedrijven de EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) te begrijpen, zich erop voor te bereiden en eraan te voldoen. De workshop vertaalt de wettelijke verplichtingen naar praktische handvatten en hulpmiddelen en biedt inzicht in het lopende normalisatieproces en de mogelijkheden om deel te nemen aan openbare consultaties. In dit kader wordt een reeks workshops georganiseerd in verschillende Europese landen.
Naar aanleiding van een normalisatieverzoek van de Europese Commissie ter ondersteuning van de implementatie van de Cyber Resilience Act ontwikkelen de Europese normalisatieorganisaties (ESO's) – ETSI en CEN-CENELEC – momenteel geharmoniseerde normen binnen hun relevante technische commissies. Tijdens deze bijeenkomst presenteren de rapporteurs van deze normen de meest recente concepten die in ontwikkeling zijn. Zij gaan in gesprek met de deelnemers, beantwoorden vragen en verzamelen feedback om de conceptnormen verder te verbeteren.
De bijeenkomst vindt plaats bij het Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, en wordt georganiseerd door de door de EU gefinancierde projecten CYBERSTAND.eu en STAN4CRA.eu, De workshops brengen toonaangevende Europese experts en projecten samen die werken aan de ontwikkeling van mkb-vriendelijke normen en praktische hulpmiddelen voor CRA-compliance.
